Violent Lips

I picked up a pack of Violent Lips, temporary lip tattoos, from Sephora back in October to wear for Halloween. The fun lip decals come in a variety of patterns and designs such as leopard, Union Jack, and various colored glitters.

I chose to go with the 'Red Glitterati' design because it went with my military costume that had red decals. I had A LOT of difficulty applying this. The instructions say to cut it away from your "waterline" or something like that but doesn't say what that is. I have never heard of that before, so I just cut it to what seemed to be the shape of my mouth.

My first application completely messed up, so I rubbed it off and did another. I accidently pursed my lips together while it was still drying, which I did not know it was doing, and they actually stuck together, hence the hole on my bottom lip. The shaping was just awful. I couldn't figure out how to get it into the corners of my mouth, and I couldn't put it on the top of my lip because when I did, it ended up going into my mouth.

Even though the package says you get 3 appliques, I actually got 4, so I still have 2 left. I'm going to try it out later whenever I can think of where else to where it and hopefully they turn out better! I think this product would have worked out much, much, better if they were made to stretch onto your lips, so then you can mold it onto a perfect fit!

I probably won't buy this again, and instead try to freehand any design I wish to do. In the future if the format is changed, I might give it another whirl. That, or if they come out with a design I really, really, wanna try!

Sephora has the Glitterati Collection on sale for $8 while Violent Lips' official website has the whole line with prices ranging from $9.99 to $14.95.

Illamasqua BACTERIUM Nail Varnish

Tips: Tarina Tarintino Supernova Nail Lacquer in STARCHILD

The color is very unique and one that I have not seen before. It's a mix between an opaque beige with pearlescent bits of lilac... (?) Sephora describes it as an "opalescent beige with a shimmer finish".

I did not use a base coat, but did use a top coat and I found the formula to chip very quickly on my tips. The polish began to chip after only 2-3 days. After less than a week, the polish began to appear streaky, as it began to wear off.

This might be due to not using a top and base coat, so I will give the polish another chance. Plus, I really did enjoy the color -- it's mature and sophisicated, but still has a playful air to it.

Eye Looks

I love this look! I wish I knew exactly what colors I used. The blue shades *might* be from Kat von D's True Romance eye palette in Metal Orchestra ($24 at Sephora)

Basic brown look, really casual and natural but still fun.

Camo green to go with one of my favorite trends: military!

Peacock-inspired. Shades of green on the inner eye, purple on the outer, and silver on the inner corners.

Brown and fuschia/purple look. I love this shade, it's a nice duochrome of bright fuschia and purple. It's "Junkshow" from the Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Palette ($55 at Sephora)

Versace for H&M

Hey everyone!

I know it's been forever since I've updated -- so much has been going on. I started law school, I moved into a new apartment, and I've been getting treatment for something that's treatable. Anyway, I've still been taking photos of all my shopping adventures, so I'm a little backlogged.

Did anyone else shop for Versace for H&M last month? I did, I did! I got there at 5:30 a.m., and I was STILL in the 6th or 7th group! Some people had been there for 24 hours. I wanted to get some pieces, but I wasn't that desparate... Anyway, I was anxious I wouldn't get anything since I was in such a late group, but luckily, a lot of items were returned and I was able to get some good items. I was only able to get 1 item out of my original wishlist, but I ended up liking some other things I was able to nab.

I ended up running to get this asian dress and ended up sliding into the table and hitting my knee. Teehee...! It wasn't on my original wishlist, but it was an item I thought was cute since it's asian-esque.

I was able to get the purple dress from another girl who had it and didn't want it. The red type of this dress was originally on my wishlist, but the purple one is nice too. It's very sophisicated, and I really like the cut of it.

I ended up really wanting this skirt when I was waiting in line and it was on display in the window. It has these little gold metal pleats on the edges that I really like. It also fits really well and is really soft! I was able to get the skirt when a salesgirl came back with it as well as a shirt from the fitting room. While the other girls wanted the shirt, I immediately asked for the skirt.

The hat is the only item I got from my original wishlist! It's from the men's collection, so it was easy for me to get. I wish I got a second one to sell on ebay! Hehe. The men's collection didn't have assigned times, so as soon as they opened the doors, I ran upstairs to the men's section. It was quiet at first, but it quickly became overran with customers to the point of a near stampede. Ridiculous!

The shoes were not popular at all. There were tons left, so I grabbed one just "because". I LOVED the box and the shoebag that it came with. The shoes were cute, but nothing too special.

I put them on, and they are SO UNCOMFORTABLE. I don't know what it is about the design, but my foot immediately slides forward, and there is just no grip. I took these back. On a side note, when I went to H&M earlier today, I saw that they still had about 8 boxes of shoes!

So that's my Versace for H&M journey, although a month late. ;)

Missoni for Target

How many of you participated in the Missoni for Target collection that was released about 3 weeks back? I know I'm super late in posting about this popular event, but better late than never! Anyway, I went to the Target at Atlantic Station here in Atlanta around 11:00 am, right after I got out of my class.

When I arrived, there were several women running around to all the little Missoni "stations". I was a bit annoyed, because I thought that all of the Missoni merchandise would have its own little section, not scattered throughout the store! I thought there was still a good amount of merchandise available, maybe about 30%. Women's and office supplies were almost sold out, but there were still a lot of lingerie, socks/hosiery, plates and bowls, girl's, and toddler's clothing. I did also find 2-4 pieces of the pillows, throws, hats, hair clips/bands, and bedsheets.

So, to my purchases:

All of these clothing items are from the girl's collection. I'm very petite, and as a bonus, I can frequently wear girl's clothing if I find them cute enough! I was especially lucky to grab the pair of flats, one of only two pairs left. Apparently, a girl's size 4 is equivalent to a women's size 6! I especially love the hoodie, the print is very pretty, and the colors are something new for me.

I loved these! I have a thing for dining sets, and just dream of having a funky and fun place setting for my dining area. (Which, may soon come true as I'm moving into my apartment this weekend!) I just love how the prints are different but still blend together. I wish I was able to buy some tumblers, but they were gone by the time I arrived.

The one thing I wish I could have gotten was this Missoni espresso set! How adorable is this?! Of course, I have found it nowhere except on eBay where assholes have ridiculously inflated the price and I'm not that desparate. Hopefully, I can find something similar.

I made this eye look using the Urban Decay 15 Anniversary Eyeshadow collection ($55 at Sephora) that I picked up a month ago. I absolutely love this palette! Although the palette does not have a locking lid and fingerprints show up really easily on it, the colors are just phenomenal. I love this pump! I remember when I first saw the original colors in nude and peach, I thought it was such a gorgeous pump! After the original run came out, a glitter version came out and I wanted that! Again, I waited, and good thing I did because I realized I liked the purple version the best. [ View HERE ]

Mermaid's Tears

This is a look I put together a couple of weeks ago. It's very nautical, mermaidesque. My jacket and skirt are from bebe, and my tank top is from Aeropostale. Initially, I thought it was a very polished and cute look, and I really enjoyed the accessories I put together, but started to feel as thought it might be too "nautically". What do you guys think?

Even my nails matched! I'm wearing O.P.I.'s "Mermaid's Tears" from the Summer 2011 Pirates of the Caribbean collection. For my pointer finger, I used Reluctance by Micabella Cosmetics by dipping the powder into clear nailpolish. Micabella is hailed as being very versatile, and nailpolish is one of its uses BUT I found it to be HORRIBLE. It chipped within an hour or two, and was gone by the next day. I'm going to keep using it as eyeshadow.

My rings were bought from Love Culture. I was standing in front of the rings for about 30 minutes trying to decide what color combination to get!

tokidoki just released a set of fun perfumes, featuring 6 of their popular characters. The rollerball collection contains 0.33 oz of perfume, and all of the bottles are topped with a topper shaped with the character that inspired the perfume. From left to right:

Donutella: Raspberry, Bright Bergamot, Muguet, Jasmine Sambac, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Musk.

I love sweet perfumes, so this one is definately my favorite. It reminds me slightly of [ Aquolina's Pink Sugar ], but not as sweet. It's fun, and girly and is a scent to throw on when you what to be sweet.

Ciao Ciao: Water Hyacinth, Out of the Shower Accord, Muguet, Day Lily, Sheer Jasmine Petals, Musk, Sun-Drenched Woods.

Ciao Ciao is a fresh scent. It's a scent that, to me, I'd want to wear before going to bed because it would leave me feeling extra clean!

Siberia: Cool Aldehydes, Muguet Petals, Night Blooming Jasmine, White Orchid, White Musk, Soft Woods.

Siberia wasn't that distinct to me. There wasn't anything that stood out enough for me with this perfume, and although the components seem really unique, the smell seemed as though it was something I've smelled often before.

Adios: Lemon Leaves, Pink Grapefruit, Cyclamen, Day Lilies, Pink Orchid, Lotus Blossom, White Musk, Peach Skin, Crystallized Woods.

This perfume is probably my 3rd favorite. Adios is definately the most masculine of the bunch, but not too much so to where a female wouldn't be able to wear it.

Adieu: Black Berry, Strawberry, Juicy Orange, Tiare Flower, Water Lotus, Creamy Vanilla, Cashmere Woods.

This perfume is my 2nd favorite! It's also a very fruity scent and sweet scent.

Sandy: Pear Blossom, Freesia, Honeysuckle, Gardenia, Hint of Vanilla, Amber Musk.

Sandy is a strong earth scent. It reminds me of a freshly kept garden and forest. This would be a must for any lover of flowers and trees!

The rollerballs are on sale for $18 each, in stores and online [ at Sephora ].

The tokidoki perfume collection also comes in two 3-piece scent stick sets for $28 each. The sets are broken up into Adieu, Donutella, Sandy, and Adios, Ciao Ciao, and Siberia. I would have preferred if the sets were broken up to match the toppers and then appropriately named: Life & Death containing Adios, Ciao Ciao, and Adieu, and then Circular Cents containing Sandy, Siberia, and Donutella (they all have round ears! hehe!)

I checked my email today and saw that bebe.com has the new bebeBLACK collection up. bebeBLACK is bebe's runway fashion collection. It appears the collection is composed of three main looks: pop culture, city sleek, and varsity blues (shown below).

Working at Arden B., the best perk is definately being around so much fun clothing and accessory items! This past week after I got off, I had the chance to try on some items in store.

Mesh Inset Bandage Dress

This dress fits VERY tight. It was only after I struggled to put it on did I realize there is a hidden zipper. Hehehehe. Despite that, the dress was very tight, and it had a strange band across the butt area that pushed into my skin and sectioned my bottom. It was a disappointg fit, since I love the boldness of the color and sexiness of the design.

Printed Drape Front Tunic

I really like this top. Now, one thing I've learned from Arden B. is that all of their tops that they call "tunics" are long enough to be dresses. I wore this as a dress and found it to be sexy, but still casual enough to throw on and run out someplace simple. It also has a racerback, which I love since it accenuates your shoulders and back.

I love this tunic (aka dress)! Arden B. has this tunic last year in black with gold sequins and I wasn't that sold on it. That all changed however when I saw one of the girls from the reality tv show, The Bad Girls Club, wearing it. Now, I love it even more because one of the girls from the upcoming season of the same show is also wearing it (See here)! Anyway, it fit really well on me, loose on top and tight fitting on the bottom. It's chic, and very classy and made me look more mature.

Chiffon Print Halter Dress

This is another dress that Arden B. had previously only in a different print/color. When it was originally carried, it sold out very fast and was very popular. I love the print and design of the dress (it also has a racerback) and I find it to be a cute, party dress that would be appropriate for a teenager and a young woman. I did have sizing issues with this, the sides, by the breasts, were a little loose but this could be fixed with a quick alter. The dress can also be a little complicated to put on since it is essentially just two straps on the top that you have to crisscross, but I enjoyed it regardless.

Drape Neck Print Dress

I love the print on this dress! It's sexy and sophisicated, and I love the back, which has a cut out and mesh sides! It reminds me of these dresses that are at bebe. This dress is also available in champagne, which might be a nice alternative for those who feel the animal print is too much.

Cutout Back Bandage Dress

Bandage dresses are my favorite type of dresses because they are body hugging, sexy, and give that Herve Leger look without the price tag. I tried this dress on in red, and it was SEXY. It was so vibrant and was a definiate attention grabber. When the dress rides up, the sides of the back cutout pucker out, so that was the only negative, but the dress itself helps you overlook it!

Illamasqua Nail Varnish

I stopped by Sephora yesterday and was about to test out four shades of nail varnish from the line, Illamasqua (Ill-uh-mass-ka). Illamasqua just has a beautiful collection -- sleek, black packaging and bold colors. I've been wanting to get something from this line for awhile, but have hesitated due to the price. But those colors! I'm currently going through a nail polish phase, so while browsing the Illamasqua display, I looked over their 30 color selections of nail varnish.

On my nails, I'm wearing Bacterium, an opalescent beige with a shimmer finish. On the pointer finger is Rare, a bright neon yellow with a satin finish.

On my toes, I'm wearing Radium, a lime green with a shimmer finish. On the "pointer toe" (?) I'm wearing Muse, a deep teal blue with a glossy finish.

I felt that all the colors went on well, and left even coverage after about 2 coats. The exception would be Rare, which took 3 coats to get an even finish. I am fascinated with the Bacterium color, due to its uniqueness. Although I feel that it blends in with my skin a lot, it has just enough shimmer to make it interesting and pretty. Today, the polish did chip a lot while I was trying to push a clamp onto the rope of my charger, even though I'm wearing a top and bottom coat. Alexander Wang Walker Doodle Print Backpack

Last week I ordered and recieved the Alexander Wang Walker Doodle Print Backpack! Doodle print is one of my favorite prints, and when I saw this bag, I knew I had to have it. Alexander Wang had several clothing items in this same print, but those did not stand out to me as much as this backpack.

The bag arrived in the signature Alexander Wang cloth bag and was bigger than I thought it would be. Although I love the print and the feel of the bag, it wasn't as vibrant as I thought it would be. I debated whether or not to sell it back, but as the days go by I think I'll probably keep it!

The bag originally retailed for $450, but I bought it for $190 during Saks Fifth Avenue's semi-annual sale. I was hoping for a slightly better deal, but it looks like that might have been the best one since the bag has since sold out everywhere I've looked.

This is a look I did when I decided to wear my one-sleeve purple jungle print dress from Arden B. previously mentioned. I used tokidoki Prisma Lipgloss in Bullets ($5) then layered on MAKE UP FOR EVER Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in 15 ($19) on top to give it a sheer finish.

For my eyes, I used Micabella Mineral Eyeshadow in Tease ($14.95) as a highlighter along my browline, and Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Eyeshadow in Bronzinger ($7) directly under that. On my lid, I used Micabella Mineral Eyeshadow in Reluctance ($14.95) by the inner corner and Tarina Tarantino Starchild Odyssey Palette color Odyssey ($20, SOLD OUT) on the outer corner. I used Victoria's Secret VS Beauty Precision Liquid Liner ($10) as an upper and under eyeliner. My eyelashes are Japonesque Extra Flair ($8).

I picked up this dress that was originally about $60. I seem to have a thing for one-shoulder dresses! I just really loved the interesting print and cut out of the dress. It's a very sexy club dress, but it also has a mature quality to it for me.

I then picked up this trench coat for $15 as well, and it was originally marked at around $70. The cut of the trench is very girly and feminine, and I could see myself wearing it as a dress as well. I'm still trying to find a cute look for this trench since it doesn't look cute when open, but time will tell if I can figure it out!

Mega Mart Clothing

So late last year this huge Asian chain, MEGA Mart, opened up a location near me inside the Gwinnett Place Mall in Duluth, GA. It's currently composed of two levels, the first being an asian-type grocery store ala H Mart, and the top is a fashion/accessory level. Although from reviews it seems a lot of people don't like the clothes, I have found some pretty cute designs and for good prices.

I picked up this pair of blue newspaper print leggings that combined two of my favorite things -- newspaper print and blue! Hey -- doesn't this look like Kim Kardashian!?

I got this super cute crop top as well! I pierced my belly button a couple of years back and have barely showed it off, despite having a couple of crop tops. I really want to expand my collection. Also, between you and me, I love the cute little uneven quarter-length sleeves -- for the uniqueness and those times when I don't shave! :P

I plan on picking up a couple more pieces from the Mega Mart because I know that business at Gwinnett Place Mall is sooooo slow (which I have no idea why, because Pleasant Hill (the road the mall is off of) is a bustle of activity!) and I'm worried to might close down. Plus, being half-Korean myself, I like to support asian businesses.

Pink Powder Eyes

I used colors from the Dior Rose Gipsy (With an "I" not a "Y") 840 palette. My mom bought me this palette literally maybe 10 years ago, so I'm not even sure if it's being sold anymore, but it could be available at high-end department stores. My mascara is VS Makeup Triple Drama Mascara ($14) at Victoria's Secret which I featured a couple of posts back.

This eyelook was the first time I had ever used the middle!! It just reminded me how much makeup I have and how many colors I've probably never even used! I know they say you should throw out make up past a certain date, but it just seems wasteful to me. The only exception I would make would be mascaras, but I use mine up way before the expiry anyway.

Sorry to everyone that I haven't updated in awhile! I got a virus on my computer and my laptop has just been out of whack since then. I got everything cleared out but the computer is still slow as ever. I need a new laptop, ASAP. I miss being able to play The Sims!!

Anyway, I haven't really spent much money these past two weeks anyway because I've been waiting on my check. I went out today though to use my coupons that I've gotten.

I went to Ulta to use a $3.50 off $10 coupon I printed online [here] and bought OPI in 'Mermaid's Tears' from the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides collection ($8.50) and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in 'Purple Potion' ($2.65). Hurry -- the coupon expires on the 25th! It's a pretty good deal, if you spend about $10 to $12, you save 30%!

I then went to bebe to use my $10 gift I recieved from their clubbebe program. After browsing through their jewelry, I finally decided on their Spring 2011 Nail Set. After the $10 discount, I paid $4.00. Unfortunately, I already have a similar shade of pink, but the silver and baby blue are nice enough shades to make me want to buy the set.

My last stop was to Victoria's Secret to spend my $10 reward from their Bra Perks program, which to my frustration, no one seems to have heard of, despite them working in the store. Anyway -- I used it on this $12 lengthening, voluminizing, and definition mascara. The lady was giving me such a hard time about it insisting the reward was only for bras despite the fact that the card does not say that. I then went upstairs to the other Victoria's Secret and bought two other mascaras then came back down to the Victoria's Secret Beauty and exchanged them in her face! :P I plan on e-mailing corporate a complaint about the annoyingness I've encountered through this whole Bra Perks program.

Boscia's Luminizing Black Mask

Last week or so while at Sephora, I was given about a 2 oz. sample of Boscia's Luminizing Black Mask. I was particularly interested in this product because Boscia recently released packs of Pore Purifying Black Strips for the nose.

Boscia's Luminizing Black Mask ($34 Online and in Stores at Sephora) is described as a "groundbreaking, mineral-rich mask that peels off to deliver powerful detoxifying, purifying, and brightening effects." It's purpose is to deep cleanse and draw out skin impurities, exfoliate the skin, and refine the pores.

I found the Black Mask to have a really light creamy texture to it. It wasn't sticky, but still had a nice "goo" texture to it.

As I was applying, I made sure to do a nice circular shape around my face and avoid my eyes, nostrils, lips, and eyebrows (although I failed at that aspect). When the mask dries, it's supposed to peel off like a mask, clearing up your skin.

... As such! I was impatient, and after waiting for about 45 minutes, began to peel of the mask even though I could see that areas where I laid the mask on thicker had yet to dry. Because of this, after I was able to easily peel off the dry parts, I still had chunks of half-dry mask on my face that I had to scrub off manually. Lesson Learned: You only need a very thin layer in order to achieve the effect. This will also allow you to keep your bottle for a long time before running out!

After I was able to get all of the mask off, I felt refreshed! My face looked a little brighter and I just felt clean. I definately recommend this mask and am planning on buying a tube in the future.

Picked up some jewelry from Arden B. on Monday. The bracelet is extremely shiny and is composed of several rows of sparkly hematite-like beads. The bracelet is also available in bronze, and retails for $24 online and at Arden B. stores. It matches extremely well with my black ombre necklace that I featured a couple of posts back.

Baker's KAY Heels

When I first saw these heels, I was in love and KNEW I had to add them to my collection. I previously raved about these heels earlier this month in one of my Wishlist Postings. The KAYs come in four different colors: blue (shown above), black, pink, and orange. The colors are extremely bright and made of suede.

Aren't they gorgeous?! I got so many compliments on them because of their bold color. I paired them with a simple gray dress with black lines.

Crackle Nail Polish

I finally went and bought some crackle nail polish. I've been wanting to try them for awhile, but have just been reluctant to spend money on it. I'm wearing TARINA TARANTINO nail polish in Empire as a base and then Mia Crackle in Rose as a top layer.

Crackle nail polish is basically nail polish that when applied over another layer of polish begins to break apart, creating a "shatter" effect. (F.Y.I. teehee)

I bought Mia Secret crackle nail polish, which is much cheaper than the more popular OPI brand. Above are the shades Sky and Rose. Buy Sky here and Rose here, both of them for about $3, plus $3 for shipping.

M*A*C Lipstick in Saint Germain - $14.50, Online & In Stores

I love this lipstick! I was able to wear it for 5 hours and by the end of my shift, I still had a pretty, noticable pink pout. The color bled slightly, and towards the end of the wear most of the color had migrated to around the opening of my mouth but it was easily fixed by applying more gloss and rubbing my lips together.

My job sold these earrings for more than double the price, ha! I think they are cute and creative earrings, even if they do look a little cheap. I dislike the back of these earrings, as there is no color and you can see how the feather is just glued to the back. Overall though for this price I really like them and find them fun to wear.

I rarely ever wear false eyelashes although I would love to wear them more often. They're just so difficult to apply and look natural on both sides! In this photo you can see the line between my real lashes and the fake lashes. Next time I'm going to apply my black liner first and then apply the lashes so that you can't see the line between the lashes.

Dirty Addiction Brass Knuckle Necklace

I came across the website Dirty Addiction a couple of years back after searching for a brass knuckle necklace. It's home to a bunch of random and quirky jewelry and clothes.

Dirty Addiction has 8 brass knuckle Swarovski crystal covered necklaces in a variety of colors. I picked the black one, since brass knuckles are so bad ass (hehe). It costs $45, which is an "ok" price. It definately could afford to be cheaper, but it did come in a nice black suede box.

The necklace was smaller than I thought it would be, but on the plus side, the chain has nice flecks of silver in it which I didn't notice in the website photo.

The necklace came packed with this pink tote bag and a bunch of cola-flavored Mentos! Yum! I have no idea what to do with the tote though -- I have so many and they're just all crammed into a box because I feel bad about throwing them away... :(

Just got these the other day from BakersShoes.com -- they are Japonesque eyelashes! Now, I don't even *wear* fake eyelashes religiously like some people do. The last time I did was for Halloween, but this deal was too good to pass up! They were originally priced at $8, but then slashed to $3.99. I was able to get them at that price when they were slashed AGAIN to $1.99!! That's when I ordered my 3 pairs and with the purchase of at least 2, I recieved a *free* eyelash applicator!

BakersShoes.com originally had 8 different lashes available but due to the sale, only have 2 (the ones shown above) left. Buy them here before they run out! The official Japonesque website still has the eyelashes I bought, but at their original price, as well as some other beauty goodies!

tokidoki Prisma Lipgloss

I ordered this tokidoki Prisma Lipgloss from Sephora.com after seeing that four of them were marked down from $15 to $7. The one I ordered is called 'Bullets' and is the sheer berry color.

From left to right: Burger (Sheer Orange), Rocketeer (Sheer Deep Black Red), SANDy (Sheer Apple Green) and Bullets (Sheer Berry). There are 12 other colors/characters available as well, but they are full price at $15 here.

I absolutely love the packaging! The plastic container that it comes in (shown above) is decorated with various tokidoki characters. The lipgloss container is rectangular in shape. The applicator topper has what appears to be a 2-sided sticker of the character after which the gloss is named along with confetti.

I usually apply lipgloss as part of my makeup regime which I do after getting out of the shower and applying lotion. As such, my hands can be slippery, making a lot of stuff hard to open and me putting bite marks on all my applicators :P But because this one has edges, it's very easy to open.

I also love the applicator, which is very unique. It's smooth and plastic and glides across the lips perfectly: not too much, not too little.

As the description says for the gloss, it is sheer. As in, sheer=no color. My best friend has SANDy and it is completely clear as well. I don't mind this however because I didn't buy the gloss for the color. The gloss also has a delicious blueberry scent and is slightly sticky. Another plus side to this gloss is that it does not dry out my lips, like a lot of other products can do with just the first use.

MAC Summer Shower Lipstick

Above is the Summer Shower lipstick ($14.50 at MAC Stores, sold out online) that was released as part of the Fashion Flower Collection late last month. When I first saw this lipstick, I KNEW I had to have it. I've never seen anything like it!

It was so difficult to take a great photo with my camera that showcased the wonders of this lipstick. If you use only one layer, it leaves a light layer of iridescent bluish-minty green sparkle that will last for several hours (after 5 hours and several meals, there was still a noticable trace of sparkle on my lips).

This photo better showcases the color. If you layer Summer Shower on, it will leave a slightly bluish-minty green tint that resembles the actual lipstick. Definately pick this lipstick up before it's gone. It's a must have for anyone who loves sparkle and uniqueness. The lipstick is also pretty when layered over other colors. Be creative with it!

Remember when I mentioned I would be buying the "Elle" Hervé Léger sandals off of TheOutnet.com? Well, they arrived last week or so, and I absolutely LOVE them! They came in this gorgeous hardcover box tied with a purple ribbon. So chic!

When I opened the box, there was a cloth bag inside. The shoes are gorgeous!! I wasn't able to take a good photo of the colors, but they are a gorgeous cream color. They fit very well and are comfy.

I posted about these heels a while back on one of my Wishlists... After they ran out in stores and online in my size, I turned to eBay where I found them being sold for $76! Shipping was also a reasonable $6.50. The original price on these were $109.

How sexy are these?! They are 5.5 inches tall -- delicious!

Bebe Pink Pinstripe Jacket

This Bebe suit jacket just arrived in the mail for me today! I am *too* excited! I absolutely love the pink lining and pinstripes -- it's the perfect mix of masculine and feminity. I had to order this jacket in store from a Florida branch which then mailed it to me because only FOUR jackets were available in the United States.

I do this often because I like waiting to see if something goes on sale. I write down the Style number and then ask the Bebe Stylist to look it up. From there, the Stylist can find which stores carry that item in the United States and then have it mailed to you. Because I have over 1,000 points on my Bebe card, it ships for free.

I bought this jacket to go along with the matching dress which I purchased a couple of months back. The dress does have pleating on the bottom that I didn't capture in the photo. The dress originally retailed for $139 but I bought it for $35. The jacket originally retailed for $159 but I bought it for $59.99. My next piece I'm getting in this collection are the pants!

I went on a little jewelry spree at my job today since it is Employee Appreciation Weekend, where employees recieve an additional discount. I bought a two finger ring with roses on them, a pastel tri-layer necklace, a multi-layer pink/purple necklace, and fireworks earrings in black and white. I wanted to get another pair of earrings in the shape of a peacock with a peacock feather glued to them, but the back of the earrings weren't cute (OMG! Why does Love Culture have the same earrings for about 60% cheaper than the Arden B. price? PFFFT!!! And to add insult to injury, Love Culture just opened up its first Georgia store in the mall I work at!) . Teehee.

Some clothing purchases I've been in the past week...

I've had my eye on this dress from Arden B. for weeks now! I was waiting and waiting for it to go on sale -- and it finally did! I love this dress -- it's such a unique yet pretty print and the material is soft and very body hugging. I especially love the one butterfly sleeve.

This shirt is from bebe and yet another sale item. I LOVE this unique shade of blue -- a steeley blue with a mix of gray. There's this cropped ruffle coat from the bebe black collection in this same color that I have my eye on as well, and I might grab it if it's still in stores by the time I decide! But I love how simplistic and business-like this shirt is but it still has a touch of sexy with the corset detailing on the back and the black buttons.

My 24th Birthday & Graduation!

These last couple of days has been an absolute whirlwind! First, my university graduation was on April 22nd: I am now the recipient of a Bachelor's Degree! Then, on April 25th, I turned 24 years old! WOW! I honestly didn't do anything big, just spent time with family and went to dinner, but it was still rewarding nonetheless.

This is a nice little gathering of all of my birthday/graduation gifts. It includes roses, a pair of shoes, cards, a letter, Health Toffee Almond covered popcorn, a Godiva gift card, friendship bracelet, a gift card, check, a t-shirt, and a black dress (under the t-shirt).

After I took the photo, I realized I forgot one of my cards!! So of course, I had to retake the photo ;)

I just recently started to like M*A*C Cosmetics and I definately know that I've been missing out! I came across promotions for the next collection, Quite Cute, and I cannot wait! Available are the Cake Pops, mini cupcakes (Carrot Cake and Peanut Butter), Red Velvet Whoopie Pie, and Sweet Squares (Lemon and Salty Caramel). I tried them all except for the cupcakes and the lemon sweet squares.

The Cake Pops are very yummy -- they are coated mini-doughnuts which I found to be extremely moist and sweet. Rocky Road is covered in chocolate, nuts, and marshmellows and surprisingly, I didn't find it to be as sweet as I thought it would be. Birthday Cake is a vanilla doughnut was the one I wanted to try the most, but I found it the most plain. It's covered in pink dyed white chocolate with nonporeils. Last is the Tiramisu, which I wasn't that too excited to try but ended up being my favorite! It's the right about of sweet, and the coffee isn't an overwhelming flavor. The chocolate coffee bean on top is a nice touch.

The Red Velvet Whoopie Pie wasn't too exciting. Very simple and plain. Wasn't sweet enough to me and the cream didn't taste like cream cheese at all to me.

I LOVED the Salty Caramel. It tasted like the candy bar, Take 5. It's composed of layers of caramel, toffee, chocolate, and pretzels. I would definately buy this again. My best friend, who doesn't really like sweet treats, LOVED this as well.

I just finished off my last Cake Pop, and I can't wait to load up on more and try out the other Petite Treats! Prices are $1.50 each, $2.50 for two, and 6 for $7.50.
